Lawmatics is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which gives you peace of mind providing state of the art security and privacy features built into the platform by default. This same AWS security is used by large corporations such as Netflix, NASDAQ, and Liberty Mutual to keep their data secure. Lawmatics has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 and HIPAA compliance, verified by AssuranceLab. This independent attestation confirms that our internal controls meet the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) standards for security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. Our SOC2 report is available upon request.

Lawmatics stores all of your law firm’s data at 256-bit AES encryption, the same standard used by banks and other large financial institutions. Data is sent and received using 128-bit SSL encryption which keeps your private information safe from third party access.

Multi-factor authentication is required for all Lawmatics users. Users may also use their Google or Microsoft secure logins for social sign-on, allowing you to take advantage of these companies’ robust security measures.

Digital security is only part of protecting your private information. Our Amazon EC2 cloud servers are located in nondescript locations protected by military grade physical protection with 24 hour security escorts. Access to these servers are by two-factor authentication only, ensuring that your most important data stays not only digitally protected, but also physically protected at all times.

Lawmatics performs regular backups to ensure that your account is accessible at any moment. Nightly backups to redundant Amazon S3 servers keep your firm’s data safe and secure so that even in the event of an unlikely hardware failure, you know nothing gets lost.
